A safe place to party and have a great time . A diverse group of people in one place gay, straight and in between w/ a very friendly atmosphere .

Ugly feminine guys with big attitudes and over-sized butch lesbians. This isn't a bar full of good looking people. They discriminate against you if you are gay but don't fit the typical look/behavior that these flamboyant types go for. Gay bars in almost any other city would be better.

Smalltown attitude

I am glad and happy that Anchorage has a gay community but just because you are in gay establishment doesn't mean that you can be rude and ugly to other in your community because in other bigger gay cities this small attitude doesn't work. Grow up....love each other because your small attitude will not advance you.

When in Anchorage - this is the place to be

I know, silly to ask "Are there gay people in Anchorage?" - well yes there are and the boys and girls go here. I loved getting drunk with new friends, enjoyed the less than perfect drag show, and even danced to the slightly behind the times music. But when in Anchorage, what else are you gonna do?

Great Fun & HUGE Drinks

Mad Myrna's is the largest gay bar in Anchorage and it has something for everyone. There's a fantastic Drag Show featuring Queens & Kings. There's a great dance floor, and they have pool & darts. The crowd at Myrna's skews younger, but is very much mixed in terms of gay boys, lesbians, and straight friends. The drinks are served in MASSIVE glasses. I'm normally a 5-6 cocktail a night person, but at Myrna's I had to stop at 3.
